The Department of Energy ("DOE") average diesel fuel prices per gallon for the three months ended June 30, 2026 and 2025 were $5.35 and $3.56 (a 50.4% increase), respectively. Therefore, our operating income is negatively impacted with increased net fuel costs (fuel expense less fuel surcharge revenue) in a rising fuel environment, and is positively impacted in a declining fuel environment.
